Terms of Service

These Terms are an agreement between you and Vegochef OÜ ("Vegochef", "we", "us"), a company registered in Estonia at Narva mnt 5, 10117 Tallinn (VAT EE102687321). They apply to the Vegochef app and vegochef.com (the "Services"). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. The Services

Vegochef helps vegetarians, vegans and pescatarians plan meals, track macros, vitamins, minerals and fats, discover recipes and build grocery lists. We may add, change or remove features to improve the Services. If a change takes away a core feature you pay for, we will tell you in advance and you may cancel.

2. Not medical advice

Vegochef gives general nutrition information. It is not medical advice and does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. Calorie, macro and micronutrient targets, supplement amounts and warnings are estimates from standard formulas and reference values; they may not suit you.

Talk to a doctor or registered dietitian before changing your diet or taking supplements, especially if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a medical condition or eating disorder, or take medication. You confirm this when you tick the "Before you start" screen in the app.

3. Nutrition data

Nutrition values come from food databases, recipe calculations and data you enter. We work to keep them accurate, but we cannot guarantee that every value is complete or correct. Always check food labels if you have an allergy or intolerance.

4. Who can use Vegochef

You must be at least 18 years old. You agree to give accurate information and to keep your password safe. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at info@vegochef.com if you think someone else has used it.

5. Subscriptions and free trial

Plans. Vegochef Premium is offered as a monthly or annual subscription, bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Prices are shown in the app before you buy and include VAT where applicable.

Free trial. First-time subscribers can get a 7-day free trial. If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and you are charged. We aim to remind you by email and, if you allow notifications, in the app about 2 days before the trial ends, but the reminder is a courtesy: the store's renewal terms apply either way.

Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. If the price changes, the store will tell you and, where required, ask for your agreement.

Cancelling. Cancel any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings (in the app: Profile → Subscription). Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the paid period. Deleting the app or your Vegochef account does not cancel a subscription.

Refunds. Payments are processed by Apple or Google, and refunds are handled by them under their policies. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com or through Google Play. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.

Right of withdrawal (EU). Your subscription starts right away when you buy it. By buying it, you agree that the service begins immediately, and you acknowledge that this ends your 14-day right of withdrawal for the period already started, as allowed by EU consumer law.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of what you add: custom recipes, photos, notes, meal plans and lists. You give us permission to store, process and display that content only to run the Services for you. Your content is private to your account; we don't publish it.

You may only upload content you have the rights to, and nothing illegal, harmful or offensive. We may remove content that breaks these Terms.

Feedback. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely to improve Vegochef, without payment to you.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• copy, scrape or extract recipes, nutrition data or other content in bulk;
• reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it;
• get around security features, paywalls or usage limits;
• use the Services for commercial purposes or to build a competing product;
• share your account or resell access;
• upload malware or interfere with the Services or other users;
• use the Services against the law.

8. Our content and licence

The app, recipes, photos, texts, designs and the Vegochef name and logo belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, under these Terms and the store's usage rules.

9. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → My account → Delete account), or, if you no longer have the app, by asking us at vegochef.com/delete-account. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these Terms, after telling you why where reasonable. If we end the Services entirely, we will give reasonable notice.

10. Availability

We work to keep Vegochef available, but it may sometimes be interrupted for maintenance, updates or reasons outside our control. Keep the app updated to get fixes and new features.

11. Liability

We are fully liable for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and where mandatory law says so. Otherwise our liability is limited to foreseeable damage typical for this kind of service, and in total to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for decisions you make about your diet or health based on the app's information. Nothing in these Terms limits your mandatory consumer rights.

12. Third-party services

The Services use or link to third parties, such as Apple, Google, RevenueCat and recipe sources. Their own terms apply to them, and we are not responsible for their content or services.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when the Services or the law change. For important changes we tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days before they take effect. If you don't agree, you can cancel your subscription and delete your account before then.

14. Law and disputes

Estonian law applies. If you are a consumer in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence, and you can bring a claim in the courts of Tallinn or of your country. Please contact us first at info@vegochef.com; most issues can be solved quickly. You can also turn to the Estonian Consumer Disputes Committee (www.ttja.ee).

15. Apple App Store terms

If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store:

• These Terms are between you and Vegochef OÜ, not Apple. Vegochef, not Apple, is responsible for the app and its content.
• Your licence is limited to Apple-branded devices you own or control, as allowed by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
• If the app fails to meet a warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price; Apple has no other warranty obligation.
• Vegochef, not Apple, handles any claims about the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, and consumer protection or privacy claims.
• Vegochef, not Apple, is responsible for investigating and resolving any third-party claim that the app infringes intellectual property rights.
• You confirm that you are not in a country under a US government embargo or designated as "terrorist supporting", and that you are not on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

16. Other terms

If a part of these Terms is invalid, the rest stays in force. We may transfer these Terms to a company that takes over Vegochef; your rights will not be reduced. If we don't enforce a right straight away, we don't give it up.
